• Long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole, which is a problem for patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets. Regular Inderal tablets can be crushed and mixed into food.
• Regular tablets are generally more effective if the medication is used as-needed, such as to treat symptoms of anxiety.
• In all conditions, some individuals simply have better results taking multiple doses of regular tablets over the day.

Individuals who rely on epinephrine as a rescue treatment should not buy Inderal LA, or any beta blocker; beta blockers inhibit the effects of epinephrine, such as an EpiPen used to stop anaphylaxis or epinephrine to alleviate asthma attacks.
